Foie gras belongs to France;
Scotland gave us Haggis;
Jamaica says Oxtail isn't new;
and thankfully Trinidad offered me Pig’s tail stew.

Be known for being bold and unique the way cultures are known for the food they share with the world. Some dishes are expectedly strange and others are more delicious than expected.

Does trying new foods mean you are going to end up with a smile in paradise? Not necessarily, but if you keep eating, you are bound to bite into something beautiful.

Not too long ago in the Cayman Islands, turtle for dinner was as common as drinking coffee in Cuba and breaking Baguettes in Barcelona. While knowing some things are predictable and safe, expect the unexpected and then expect that to change.

Don't stay in one place and experience one type of meal. Embrace your surroundings and taste something new. You may not enjoy every bite, but you will always be able to tell the story of the night you ate turtles in paradise.
