It began the same way most sitcoms start these days, with a couple of girls and a big dream.
Some people forget to recognize that we are able to have big dreams because of how hard the generations before us worked. Our generation’s parents said, “our kids are our future”. We said, “well a. duh and b. still are”. Sarcasm aside, after we rolled our eyes and grew up, we realized that it wasn’t all B.S, we have many more opportunities than our parents did. Most of our parent’s did whatever they could so their children would lead successful lives. Some took advantage of their kindness and became lazy and unappreciative, but others made the most of it, whether by getting an education or by pursing their dreams. My business partner/long time best friend, and myself want to give back to our parents, not only by showing them we understand and appreciate their hard work and determination, but also by being able to be more than self-sufficient. We want to give back and spoil them. “Let’s get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France”, says Ingrid Michaelson. And much much more, says us. How we are going to do this? Work like the passionate motivated people we are. Plan, cook, clean, market, finance, manage, and repeat. Repeat, repeat, repeat. We recently executed a job that experienced a hiccup. We realized that like our parents, work isn’t going to flow so simply all of the time. However, there is always a way to make it through, learn from the mistake and prevent the same hiccup from happening again. As for this hiccup, let’s just say parchment paper is underrated, and has now indefinitely, made our list of best friends. Recognize the importance of your body and health, appreciate the people in your life that have gotten you where you are, and most of all don’t undervalue the ability of how hard you CAN work. PUT IT INTO HIGH GEAR AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!
